ADAM KERR has been appointed as the new Head of Physical Performance at League One Scunthorpe United.

Kerr was Middlesbrough’s Head of Fitness between June 2013 and July 2017 before leaving when new manager Garry Monk arrived this summer.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining Scunthorpe United and I’m looking forward to working with the manager, the staff and all the players in what will hopefully be a very successful season.”

Manager Graham Alexander added: “We’re delighted to have Adam on board with us. We’ve been looking for quite a long time now for someone to fill that role and it has taken a while to get the right person, but we believe we have.

“He’s coming in to work as Head of Physical Performance and he will be in charge of that from now on. He’s really looking forward to working with myself and the rest of the staff to be better in all aspects.”
